Incorporating more video

Taking this example, there are different ways to combine the layers.

Idea #1: One way to blend the types elements (the video and paintings), is to have more video elements. For instance, we could make a two-part miniature for the arch (B), and video record a dolly move (w/ proper green screen techniques), and then put it in. This would create more realistic space and give control over the edges.

Technical: Great green screen. Timed movements. Equal perspective with swimmers (angle and size).

Issue #1 In-Camera & After FX Mixing

Eugene and I were talking about this last night (05/30/2009), and we want to figure out how exactly the green screen video will integrate with the paintings.

One worry is it might look like a bad music video, if it is not thought out well.

Eugene suggested putting the paintings in a physical diorama. That certainly would create a different feel than Lillah, and the Shadows of Refuge, and would create more consistency with the green screen video. This effect would make the video component of the swimmers not as jarring. The shortfall here is we lose control over the layers, and cannot add fish, etc., in afterwards as easily. Also, it would be hard to control the variables needed to make it look like the swimmers are in the same space as the underwater environment.

Lillah worked well, because
